Before the system
Work orders in a notebook, raw material that runs out halfway through a part, machines double-booked on the calendar and costs that only become known at the end of the month.
With the system
Every order carries its actual material consumption and its hours by machine and operator. Inventory warns before it drops below minimum, the calendar catches overlaps and the cost per part is visible while the part is being made.
